Marcus Epstein Will Not Go to UVA Law School

Interesting how things go, eh? The World’s Second Darkest White Supremacist Marcus Epstein, seen here working for Tom Tancredo’s failed presidential campaign last year, thought he was going to go to the University of Virginia School of Law in the fall, but alas that was before we posted the story about his little incident two years ago where his drunk, foolish self attacked a black woman, calling her the N-Word. After pleading guilty and scheduled to appear for sentencing on July 8 Now the school says he is not enrolled and doesn’t expect him to be enrolled. Now Epstein has not been heard from since the story broke, but his boss Bay Buchanan of the American Cause has been – and she isn’t too happy about what is going on, and especially not too fond of us. And she was speaking before she found out about UVA’s statement on Epstein. We hope this does not mean the end of Epstein’s plans though. In other words, he said he was going away by summer’s end. If anything, he should stay with those plans. We most certainly going to help him out.

WASHINGTON, DC-While Bay Buchanan of the American Cause proclaims in her defense of the group’s Executive Director Marcus Epstein that he will be enrolled in the law school at the University of Virginia next semester, officials at the school itself say otherwise.

In an statement from Jason Wu Trujillo, UVA’s Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid, Epstein, who faces sentencing for a 2007 hate crime assault on an African American woman, is not currently enrolled at the University of Virginia School of Law, and is not expected to be an enrolled student in the future. According to the blog talkingpointsmemo.com, Trujillo couldn’t comment further on the situation, saying that his office can only comment on students who are enrolled or intending to enroll at the school, and that Epstein fits neither description.

Epstein pled guilty in January for the assault on the woman, which has been attributed to him being drunk at the time. According to witnesses, he was walking down the street making offensive remarks, encountered the victim Jefferson and M Street, Northwest, called her “Nigger,” as he delivered a karate chop to her head. He was first nabbed by the woman husband but broke free, only to be caught by a Secret Service agent on the scene. He is scheduled to be sentenced in Washington, DC Superior Court on July 8, exactly two years and a day since the incident. He faces 180 days in jail and $1000 in fines.

The story gained momentum in the midst of the right-wing campaign from figures like former congressman Tom Tancredo to paint Supreme Court Nominee Sonia Sotomayor as a racist. Tancredo has been called a hypocrite as he hired Epstein to be a speechwriter for his presidential run in 2008, months after the incident, and later executive director of Tancredo’s political action committee.

According to a story in the Colorado Independent, Bay Buchanan said that Epstein has turned in life around and showed courage in doing so. “He has acknowledged the many personal problems he was facing at the time, and he’s addressed them,” Buchanan said, attributing the release of Epstein’s court documents to “some low-life” who was acting out of spite.

“Who cares?” Buchanan asked. “This is something that happened two years ago that Marcus has paid a price for.”
