‘Free the Goat! Kill Yourself!’ An Anti-Muslim White Supremacist Comes to NYC, Almost Gets Bombed Out of Existence.

Jake Lang brought his Islamophobic circus to the Big Apple; someone almost made applesauce out of him and his 20 supporters!

March 7, 2026- When white supremacist Jake Lang came to Gracie Mansion, the residence of New York City’s mayor, for one of his anti-Muslim rallies, it was expected to be the raucous affair that his rallies often devolve into. However, this was one that came with a pair of incendiary devices.

News accounts say that despite Lang and his approximately twenty supporters being protected by a phalanx of police during his “Stop the Islamic Takeover of New York City, Stop New York City Public Muslim Prayer” rally, two persons reportedly were able to ignite a pair of “suspicious devices” and hurl them into the fascists. The two teens, Ibrahim Kayumi of Newtown, Pennsylvania and Emir Balat of nearby Langhorne, were arrested, there were no injuries reported, and Mayor Zohran Mamdani and his wife Rama were never in any danger since they were not home. Mayor Mamdani and police later announced the attack was being investigated as an act of terrorism “inspired by the terror group ISIS”. At the time of this reporting, no one personally knew or were in any group with either of the teens arrested.

Six persons total were arrested during the anti-Muslim rally, which was met with a counterprotest: “Run the Nazis out of New York City, Stand Against Hate.” The anti-racist counterprotest dwarfed Lang’s numbers six-fold with 125 participants. Lang initially started his rally with no police protection and his side had a roasted pig in tow- an attempt to insult Muslims with something they do not consider halal, or “permissible” under Islamic dietary standards and lifestyle practices. Lang however found himself setting his table in front of an Israeli-owned bistro, which has similar standards as it is not kosher, not “fit” or “proper” in Jewish dietary laws.

Just after Lang took a live goat out of the U-Haul he was using – in another attempt to insult Muslims by suggesting they have sex with the animals – antifascists swarmed the bistro, Lang and his supporters. Police escorted them out of the area, which became tense within minutes. One of Lang’s supporters, who was never identified by name, was attacking counterprotesters and arrested as the rest of his group continued on to a safe cozy space the police provided for them to shelter in place. Later, counterprotesters embarrassed him for bringing a goat, prompting the chant, “Free the goat! Kill yourself!”

A number of right wing influencers participated in the rally attempting to get content.  Frank Scales and Ian McGinnis of Philadelphia tried to provoke antifascists and at one point, McGinnis was arrested after he pepper sprayed the sister of comedian Walter Masterson. Police had to save him from anti-racists to arrest him. He appeared in State Court on Sunday and is facing six charges, including ​third-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and possession of a noxious material. Patrick LaBrie, another right-wing influencer from the Philadelphia area, was in attendance wearing a black sweatshirt with the word “Freedom” on the front- similar to the t-shirt that neo-fascist Charlie Kirk was wearing when he was shot and killed in September 2025- accused antifa of assaulting him.

Another person who onlookers identified as a person local to New York and seen in MAGA circles, was detained after he assaulted a number of people. But the unnamed man was released after no one wanted to provide their information to the police. 

“Yesterday, white supremacist Jake Lang organized a protest outside Gracie Mansion rooted in bigotry and racism,” Mayor Mamdani said in a statement Sunday. “Such hate has no place in New York City. It is an affront to our city’s values and the unity that defines who we are. What followed was even more disturbing. Violence at a protest is never acceptable. The attempt to use an explosive device and hurt others is not only criminal, it is reprehensible and the antithesis of who we are.”

Some online MAGA activists took issue with Jake Lang being called a white supremacist by Mayor Mamdani, despite Lang appearing in a video two months prior doing a Nazi salute while saying to the Israeli lobbyist group American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), “White Christian men are not going to sit around while you turn our children into a bunch of n—– lovers.” On Saturday, immediately after the rally he organized was responded to with anti-racist community self-defense tactics, counterprotest being one, he declared “New York was built by White, Christian men, and now it is being taken over and destroyed by Muslims and Socialists.”
