Snatched up in Florida on a Kidnapping & Domestic Violence warrant in South Carolina. Yeah, we won’t be seeing Mr. Attorney to the White Supremacist Stars much longer.
MELBOURNE, FL – Neo-fascist attorney Augustus Invictus, who has openly called for armed revolution, promoted efforts to build a stable of attorneys to take on legal challenges in the courts and was one of the speakers at the tragic “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, VA in 2017 has been arrested in Florida on charges stemming from South Carolina of kidnapping, high & aggravated domestic violence, and possession of a firearm during a crime of violence.

According to affidavit obtained by the Brevard County, FL Sherriff’s office, Invictus, 36, who’s birth name is Austin Gillespie, was arrested Monday at the Melbourne Square Mall in Melbourne, FL on a fugitive warrant from Rockhill, South Carolina. At the time of this writing, there are no details about what prompted such charges. Invictus has been accused of domestic violence in the past, with police in Orlando, Florida recommending “that charges of domestic battery by strangulation and aggravated battery be filed against Invictus.” Charges were never filed.
Invictus has been admitted to the bar in Florida, New York, Illinois, Massachusetts, and the Middle District of Florida in the US District Court and has represented a number of white supremacists, including former American Front leader Marcus Faella, during his appeal after being convicted in 2014 for teaching firearms and hand-to-hand combat skills to followers preparing for an anticipated race war, and Aaron Eason, a member of the neo-Nazi Rise Above Movement (RAM), who along with other members was indicted on federal riot charges that were later dismissed. RAM also participated in and members were arrested and convicted for their roles in the violent rally in Charlottesville that Invictus also spoke at. The rally ended tragically with the murder of counter protester Heather Heyer after White supremacist James Fields ran down her and others in his car. One month prior, Invictus participated in a pro-Trump rally in Austin, Texas sponsored by Texans United for America that also featured fellow neo-fascists Joe Biggs and Kyle Chapman.
Early last year, Invictus founded the American Legal Defense Fund (ALDF), which was originally meant to help with the defense of the RAM members, but is being seen as an attempt to become a legal defense arm for White supremacists. Invictus promoted this effort in June at the Nationalist Solutions Conference, a joint conference held at Montgomery Bell Park Inn, in Burns, TN, the same park that American Renaissance holds its annual conference. A video that he published on You Tube on Dec. 20, shows him indicating that he was just returning to Orlando, FL after travelling around the country.
Invictus ran for the U.S. Senate in 2016 as a Libertarian Party member and is also running for U.S. President. He does not consider himself a White supremacist as he says his children are part Hispanic, and claims to be a Thelemite and pagan.
Invictus is currently being held by the Brevard County Sherriff’s Office pending extradition to South Carolina. The charges he faces reportedly carry a maximum penalty of thirty years in prison.
