“Tyler VA” is the fake name of Patriot Front Member James Julius Johnson, a gun nut who doesn’t want to face the music for trying to start something at a Pride event in Idaho.
COEUR D’ALENE, ID – Another member of Patriot Front that was arrested while trying to march through a Pride event in June failed to appear in court for his trial and it is one that particularly has been in the spotlight for his infatuation with unserialized “ghost” guns and manufacturing them.
According to news reports, an arrest warrant was issued for James Julius Johnson, 37, after he failed to appear at his pretrial conference on Feb. 28, according to court records. The Concrete, Washington resident is the fourth person out of the 33 arrested that has failed to appear in court, warrants also being issued last month for Connor P. Moran, 23, as well as Jared M. Boyce, 28, in December, and Derek J. Smith, 25, in September.
Johnson operates under the name “Tyler WA” and owns a 3D printer which he uses to make stencils for Patriot Front that have in turn used them to vandalize various location with hate messages that promote their group. That printer has reportedly been used to create some of his “ghost” guns that he regularly talks about at their meetings despite a meeting rule not to speak of firearms. Johnson has participated in banner drops and vandalism outings with Patriot Front throughout Washington State.
Four Patriot Front members, each charged with conspiracy to riot, are scheduled to appear on Monday for trial at the Kootenai County Courthouse, Forrest C. Rankin, 29, Devin W. Center, 23, Graham J. Whitson, 32, Cameron K. Pruitt, 24. Ranklin lost his engineering position following his arrest, while Whitson and Pruitt were once arrested along with Patriot Front leader Thomas Rousseau after putting up racist stickers around Parker County, TX courthouse grounds. Whitson, who is also with the fascist outlet Media 2 Rise, was arrested in 2017 in Prince Frederick, Maryland along with fellow Patriot Front member Jeffrey Whittington, for possession of LSD with intent to distribute. Maryland court records mark the case as Stet, meaning that the case is inactive and will not be prosecuted as long as the defendant abides by the conditions of the Stet.
Only one person arrested in June, Alexander N. Sisenstein of Midvale, Utah, has pleaded guilty, doing so in November to disturbing the peace. He paid a $500 fine with two years of unsupervised probation.
