The Bonehead Holding the Anti-Semitic Sign At Saturday’s Ohio Rally Is A Career Felon

Matthew Paul Slatzer's mugshot from his 2016 arrest.

Matthew Paul Slatzer was outed by journalist Nate Thayer today and we thought it would be nice to tell everyone what we learned about this clown who may be going back to jail soon.

There has been several rallies held by right wing outlets opposing the state imposed COVID-19 quarantine and pushing for the country to reopen despite concerns that doing so too early would create more cases of individuals contracting the coronavirus. All of them have been politically charged, particularly after Donald Trump, who himself advised people last to stay home during the coronavirus pandemic, called for these rallies to take place. One of those rallies took place Saturday in front of the state house in Columbus, Ohio and received particular attention when pictures were taken of a sign being displayed from a minivan that featured a rat with stereotypical Jewish features and a Star of David on its body, as well as the words “The Real Plague” above it. By Monday, the owner of the van had been identified as Matthew Paul Slatzer, a neo-Nazi with an extensive criminal history.

A second photo shows Slatzer, 36 of Canton, Ohio holding the sign while talking with an unidentified person who may have been the one holding the sign as he was driving in the earlier photo.

Journalist Nate Thayer reported on Slatzer and his appearance in an article published on his website. He notes that his criminal history includes 43 criminal charges in Ohio, many of them violent crimes.

Slatzer, whose criminal record goes as far back as 2003,  found himself in the news when he was arrested in 2016 after he was reported drunk and threatening to shoot people at the McKinley Grand Hotel in Canton. He was convicted and sentenced to 12 months in jail, $750 in fines, drivers license suspended for 730 days, 6 points on drivers license record. In February, Slatzer was arrested again and charged with illegal possession of a firearm in a liquor permit premises. He has a pre-trial hearing on Friday.

Slatzer told Thayer that he believed the Jews created the coronavirus and are forcing political leaders to enforce the quarantine “because they were all flown out to Jeffrey Epstein’s pedophile sex island paid for by Jews.” Epstein was a American financier and convicted sex offender who was in jail awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges when he was found dead in his jail cell last August, and although his death was ruled a suicide, many, including his lawyers, have come to dispute that ruling feeling he was murdered.

Slatzer has a Facebook page which is not accessible to the public and a You Tube channel that he named Fourteen Eighty Eight, that features videos of a Klan cross lighting and of an Italian fascist flag.
