Neo-Nazi Band Releases Statement on Their Beatdown

The Atlantic City “Skinheads”-associated band Foreign Object wrote on their Reverb Nation page that it “Must be nice to have a web site and just make crap up all day dude.” And to explain away the beatdown they received over the weekend, that’s exactly what they did, just in time for a Battle of the Bands gig its members’ other band the Hard Way is about to play on Saturday! UPDATE 5/18/12 4:52 PM EST: We have just received word that the Hard Way will NOT be playing the Battle of the Bands at Sweeney’s Station Saloon. Apparently, they won’t even be allowed in the building. More info as it develops.

Foreign Object, a band associated with a racist gang that reportedly was beaten down at a New Jersey club last Saturday by patrons angry that they were playing a song by the white power band Skrewdriver, posted on their page on a popular music website that they have no affiliations with such groups – despite two of their members being known and longtime members of the gang as well as members of another racist band. This comes just before those two members are to perform at a show in Pennsylvania this Saturday with their other band the Hard Way.

“None of the members of (Foreign Object) were involved in the alleged brawl nor did any of its members including the drummer get ‘beat down’,” the band wrote on their Reverb Nation website regarding the incident at a Trenton, NJ club where they opened up for the punk band DRI. “The declaration of patron dislikes is 100% false. We remember clearly multiple strangers saying ‘you guys are my new favorite band’ and we warmly embrace those folks no matter who they are.”

According to the statement, the band played the Skrewdriver song “Anti Social” from All Skrewed Up, which has been defended as their work before they took a neo-Nazi position. Regardless, this is what prompted unknown patrons to reportedly confront the band after their set, resulting in the brawl. “(Foreign Object) was not involved in the alleged brawl and indeed some members tried in vain to keep the peace,” the statement read. “Perhaps this where confusion set in?”

In addition, the statement also says they were not asked to leave after the melee, but left on their own accord, saying, “We left on our own because we did not want any involvement in whatever was going on. It’s just that simple.”

Curiously, the statement also denies the associations with hate groups, let alone racist gangs. “(Foreign Object) is in no way affiliated with a gang of any type,” the statement read. “If gang members enjoy the music WTF are we supposed to do about it?! Their (sic) gang members. If we had a following of cops would that make us love bacon?” Later the statement read, “(Foreign Object) has not now, nor have we ever stood for any one set of political, racial, or religious affiliation. We embrace punk, oi, thrash, styles of music in all forms from whoever plays it well.”

Both lead singer Jack Warren and guitarist Kenny Souder are reputed members of the Atlantic City “Skinheads” (ACS), the largest and most violent neo-Nazi street gang in New Jersey. At least two of its members are currently serving life for the murders of African Americans over the past 25 years of the crew’s existence. Warren even sports a tattoo of the ACS logo – a celtic cross with five skulls at its base – on his inside left forearm. Souder also performs in the white power band Chaos 88 with fellow ACS member Warren Meickle, the former lead singer of another white power band Aggravated Assault. A video of one Chaos 88 show in Atlantic City, NJ clearly shows Souder performing with the band and Jack Warren standing near or on the stage singing along to the songs as other attendees give the Nazi salute.

Jack Warren is also the lead singer of the band the Hard Way, and Souder recently joined the band as well. The Hard Way, which particularly avoids racist material in their music, is planning to perform in a Battle of the Bands at Sweeny’s Station Saloon in Philadelphia this Saturday. It is not known if the venue or Toil Records, the show’s promoters, are aware of the associations of the band, but ACS members are planning to attend the show.

The Facebook pages of both Jack Warren and Foreign Object, has since been deleted.
