After dealing with the Proud Boys we are not surprising that the right thinks the laws they insist we follow don’t apply to them, but this one is organizing and driving in a car caravan and talk about hell on wheels!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

As the “director of events” for Brandon Straka’s WalkAway Campaign, Melissa Robey has been organizing poorly-attended “We Back Blue” events in the DC area for several months. Carefully avoiding outright affiliation with WalkAway or ACT for America, Robey’s events have gone largely unnoticed by nearly everyone in the Beltway metro area– supporters and detractors alike– but despite this, the nationalist and conspiratorial media outlet OANN showed up at her July “We Back Blue” rally in DC. Aside from that, the only other notable attendee was Suzzanne Monk, who was in charge of the “Re-Open DC” rally. On August 22, Robey planned for a “car caravan” into DC to show support for the police. Promotional videos for this event showed Robey desperately pleading with her audience to show up, assuring them that there would be no violence from counterprotestors and their safety was assured. This is in stark contrast to the behavior of the past 80+ days of protests, which have seen dozens of ghastly casualties from vicious and brazen car ramming attacks against BLM protestors by a nebulous assortment of “cop supporters.”
It is important to note, therefore, that the biggest threat to motorist safety– and indeed police officers– comes from Robey herself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robey has seventeen traffic violations stretching back to 2010. Some are relatively tame, like two carpool violations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Others, like repeated speeding tickets, are less tame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Her repeated inability to keep her license, registration and inspection valid are concerning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Her repeated driving with a suspended license is infuriating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Her last speeding ticket however, is especially odious not because she has let it remain unpaid since 2019; but because it was for speeding through a residential zone, directly endangering the lives of children. This carries a significant level of irony when considering the mainstream GOP’s alliance with the “Q Anon” conspiracy theory; once again, people who are ostensibly involved with politics to “protect children” wind up being their gravest threats.

What is most disgusting about this entire mess is that in 2009, in Prince William county where Robey currently resides, a Hispanic woman named Agueda Dominguez was pepper sprayed, pulled out of her car and thrown against the pavement by the police for having a broken tail light and forgetting her license at home. Philando Castile, of course, was infamously murdered for having a broken tail light as well. Robey has spent a decade repeatedly breaking every traffic law on the book, but she is not only free and alive, but working for a mainstream political action committee to organize pro-cop rallies!<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
