So an anti-Muslim group held a rally in Philadelphia last Saturday purporting to be an pro-police rally. It didn’t go too well.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

PHILADELPHIA, PA\u00a0 – An organizer for the anti-Muslim organization ACT for America, attempted to hold an Aug 4\u00a0rally in support of police at the Consitiution Center, but only less than a dozen supporters turned out for him, and he ultimately had to deal with antifascists who he charges slashed and vandalized his car while there.<\/p>\n

Scott Presler<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Upon hearing of the plans for this rally organized by Scott Presler, a gay conservative who is most notably active on Twitter, there were concerns because the rally just happened to be on the same day, time, and location as a mass march against I.C.E. and their operations the city and that attendees of Presler’s rally\u00a0would attempt to disrupt that event. According to reports,\u00a0Antfascists met up at the designated rally point that morning and split into smaller crews, each crew doing its own patrol of the supposed area of the rally and potential entry points. It turned out that Presler was holding his rally at the Constitution Center, and only could brg out 11 persons.<\/p>\n

When antifa approached the small rally, they engaged in debates and shouting matches with participants for approximately a half hour before the ACT for America associates decided to leave with antifa following. It was later learned that Presler’s car, adorned with Trump paraphernalia, and two other cars of his group were vandalized with scratches and dents and freshly flattened tires. No arrests were made, but Presler and his persons were ridiculed as they attempted to tend to their car. One man threatened those laughing at them with an umbrella.<\/p>\n
