The election is over and folks are figuring out next moves. DLJ went to speak to a group of students and faculty to discuss them – and how that will involve being antifascist.
On Nov. 19, 2024, One People’s Project’s Daryle Lamont Jenkins visited Niagara University in New York to have a post-election conversation with students and attendees trying to figure out how going forward they will defend human rights in a polarizing political climate. We want to extend our gratitude to Dr. David Reilly for hosting us as well as Prof. Saladin Allah, who is also the Director of Community Engagement, Niagara Falls Underground Railroad Heritage Center. Prof. Allah spoke before DLJ on the issue of “biomythology” which fuels the notion of White Supremacy. Sadly, audio and video problems prevented us from including his presentation in this video but we wanted to acknowledge his contribution to a very spirited discussion.
