Atomwaffen Division, the White Supremacist crew known for killing White people, often ones on their side, just saw one of their stupidest members die while in custody a juvenile pedophile who allegedly murdered the parents of the 16-year-old girlfriend that he had a suicide pact with. Yeah, that’s a lot to unpack.
FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — A reputed member of the neo-Nazi Atomwaffen Division who was being held in the Fairfax County Jail as he awaited trial for the 2017 murders of his girlfriend’s parents, was found dead early Thursday in his cell.
According to news reports, police said in a news release that Nicholas Giampa, 24, who had been incarcerated since 2018, was found unresponsive at about 1:58 a.m. Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office deputies performed lifesaving measures but Giampa was soon pronounced dead. The Fairfax County Police Department, who is investigating the death did not disclose any details about how Giampa died, but no foul play is suspected.
Giampa was a neo-Nazi who as an associate of Atomwaffen a group of accelerationists that work to advance a race war inspired mostly by James Mason and his newsletter-turned-book Siege which calls for a total war against the “system”. In 2017, Giampa, then a teenager entered into a suicide pact with his 16-year-old girlfriend when her parents, Scott Fricker, 48, and Buckley Kuhn-Fricker, 43, forbade their relationship when they learned of not only because of his neo-Nazi activity which once included mowing a swastika into a community field but also because of his charges as a juvenile with possessing child sexual abuse images. In December of that year, police say the daughter told police she had given Giampa a security code that allowed him to enter the home after her parents had gone to bed but when they were discovered and the daughter let them into the room, Giampa shot and killed them both. He then per the suicide pact, put a gun to the daughter’s head, but it misfired. He then shot himself in the forehead and was hospitalized for weeks but survived the injury. Giampa’s trial was postponed three times due to psychologists testifying that brain damage rendered him unable to understand trial proceedings fully and he was scheduled to begin trial in January
Atomwaffen has seen a number of murderers and incarcerations amongst their number since they were founded in 2015. In 2017, its founder and leader Brandon Russell pleaded guilty in federal court to possessing an unregistered destructive device and illegally storing explosives, which were found during the investigation of the murder of two Atomwaffen members by his roommate Devon Arthurs. In 2023, two years after he was released from prison, he was indicted for planning attacks on electric substations in Baltimore, Maryland with Sarah Clendaniel, a woman he met while in prison. He is currently being held pending trial, which is scheduled for Nov. 12. Despite this, Atomwaffen has been cited as a source of inspiration for racist mass shooters in Buffalo, NY, El Paso, TX and Jacksonville, FL. Neo-fascist propagandist Andy Ngô has been accused of providing information to groups like Atomwaffen when he attempted to call attention to a perceived collaboration between journalists and antifa and several well-known reporters and antifa, including One People’s Project founder Daryle Lamont Jenkins were named in a video titled “Sunset the Media,” which was an apparent kill list reportedly produced by Atomwaffen.
Prosecutors in the past have said in court papers that the daughter will not be charged in the murder of her parents and was expected to testify against Giampa.
