Running Down the Walls in Portland Raises Over 1.7K for Political Prisoners

Report back from Running Down the Walls event in so-called Portland, Oregon. For more information on Running Down the Walls, check out the Anarchist Black Cross (ABC) Federation.

Over 60 people ran, walked, biked, and roller skated along the Willamette river in beautiful weather for this year’s 5k! After a BBQ, statements by comrades Oso Blanco, Jalil Muntaqim, and Ray Luc Levasseur about this years Running Down the Walls were read aloud. A former political prisoner shared her experience about being in solitary and expressed beautifully and powerfully how important prisoner support is to those locked up.

Tour style shirts were sold with a list of this years group prisoner escapes, they were a big hit!

RDTW raised funds for both the ABCF Warchest and Weelaunee forest defenders facing repression from the ongoing efforts to #StopCopCity.

Thanks to our generous supporters, we raised over $1,700 locally!”

25 Years of Hate Having Consequences !

2025 is a milestone year and we want to give a huge THANK YOU to all of our supporters who have been in the trenches with us for the past 25 years. A lot of groups and people we have dealt with since we started are long gone: Richard Barrett, Matt Hale, the Minutemen and others! But we are still here fighting the good fight, contending with the new generation's version of hate politics. There are trying times ahead, but we believe our reality would be even worse if we did not come together to do this work. If you value the research and reporting that we have done at One People’s Project and Idavox- and you want to see it continue- we hope you will consider helping to keep our mission fired up.
