Solidarity Statement With Those Opposing the American Renaissance Conference

The James Connolly Upstate New York General Membership Branch of the Industrial Workers of the World (IWW), in our monthly meeting on November 6, 2022, voted to endorse this expression of solidarity in the fight against fascism.

Fascism co-opts the language of class struggle to reinforce racial hierarchy and divide the working class. Thus, the ideologies promoted by “race scientists” is in direct conflict with the struggle of solidarity unionism and the working class as a whole. Dividing the working class reinforces capitalism and helps maintain the suppression of all working people.

We call on you to oppose the American Renaissance Conference and for Montgomery Bell State Park to stop providing a venue for this group. White supremacist and fascist groups are often enlisted to break strikes and suppress labor. They do the bidding of the bosses, not working people. Denounce this event openly.

25 Years of Hate Having Consequences !

2025 is a milestone year and we want to give a huge THANK YOU to all of our supporters who have been in the trenches with us for the past 25 years. A lot of groups and people we have dealt with since we started are long gone: Richard Barrett, Matt Hale, the Minutemen and others! But we are still here fighting the good fight, contending with the new generation's version of hate politics. There are trying times ahead, but we believe our reality would be even worse if we did not come together to do this work.
