Steven Derrick Tucker had his bail revoked last month.
DALLAS, TX – Patriot Front member Steven Derrick Tucker is sitting in the County Jail awaiting trial on a felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after his bail was revoked when he was arrested with thirty other members of the neo-fascist group in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on charges of conspiracy to riot. The group allegedly attempted to disrupt a Pride event in a town park.
According to the Southern Poverty Law Center Tucker, 30, was Tucker was released last August on a $25,000 bond, a week after he was arrested for allegedly threatening one of his roommates in Mesquite, TX with a knife, saying “I will fucking kill you” during an argument over dirty dishes. Five days after his June 11 arrest in Couer d’Alene, prosecutors filed a June 16 motion to increase Tucker’s bond to $100,000 on the basis of that arrest, but on June 22, Magistrate Timothy Sommers denied Tucker bond outright.
Tucker has been in custody at Dallas County Jail since that day, according to jail records. For his attorney he hired Jason Lee Van Dyke, longtime white nationalist and former lawyer for the neo-fascist Proud Boys. In May, Van Dyke also represented another Patriot Front member, Antonio Barr, as he faced charges of misdemeanor graffiti charges from a May 2020 arrest in Round Rock, Texas. Both Barr and Tucker, along with Patriot Front leader Thomas Rousseau were passengers in one of the vehicles injured in a 2021 fatal car accident in Utah that took the life of one of their members.
Patriot Front members arrested in Idaho will appear in court at a later date. The group since attempted to hold an flash mob march in Boston over the July 4 weekend but ended up being chased back to their cars. Some reportedly included those currently out on bail in Idaho, but it is not know if they were allowed to leave their states or participate in Patriot Front actions, per the conditions of their bail.
