Paul “Gypsycrusader” Miller was sobbing as he was led away to do his sentence because he realized that ultimately the jokes on him!
MIAMI, FLORIDA – Neo-fascist Paul Miller, who under the online moniker “Gypsycrusader” made a name for himself harassing random people online with racist invectives while dressed as various characters, including the Joker and Riddler from the Batman comics, was led away sobbing after he was sentenced to 41 months in federal prison after pleading guilty to weapons charges.
According to a release from the Department of Justice, Miller, 34, was also ordered by U.S. District Judge Raag Singhal, who imposed the sentence, to serve three years’ supervised release upon his release for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon in 2018, possessing ammunition as a convicted felon in 2021, and possessing an unregistered short-barreled rifle in 2021. Miller pled guilty to the charges in June.
Miller, is noted as a resident of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida but he was only there for a few months and had originally resided in New Brunswick, NJ over one of the two tarot card shop his mother owned. He had previously been convicted of three separate felony offenses in New Jersey but in January 2018 he took a live firearms training in Fort Lauderdale, Florida during which he fired a handgun, and then used the certificate of completion from this training to apply to Florida authorities for a concealed weapon license, falsely saying on the application that he had never been convicted of a felony. Florida authorities denied Miller’s application due to his prior felony convictions. He was arrested on March 2 after a federal grand jury returned an indictment in connection with Miller’s 2018 conduct.
When police searched his home, they found an unregistered short-barreled rifle and hundreds of rounds of ammunition inside Miller’s home. Miller admitted that he had bought the ammunition and that he had tried to build his own rifle in part to learn about firearms manufacturing in preparation for a coming civil war, which over the prior year he had been promoting as a member of the Boogaloo Movement. In a now-deleted video on Instagram he described the “boogaloo” as the second civil war in the United States that would come about when the right feels it could no longer win national elections due to changing demographics.
Miller first became known as one of the participants in a brawl alongside the neo-fascist Proud Boys with antifa outside the Metropolitan Republican Club as Proud Boy founder Gavin McInnes spoke inside. He would later appeared on the One America News Network in the aftermath, but he was never charged with any crime while several Proud Boys and one member of the 211 Bootboys were convicted of assault, two currently serving prison time. Miller has also participated in anti-quarantine rallies in New Jersey in 2020, but later shifted to targeting Black and Brown communities exclusively after the George Floyd rallies and uprisings began to take hold, and especially after his mother had a quarrel outside her North Brunswick tarot card shop and home. Even before these events Miller was active operating mostly online and using the name “Gypsycrusader” on various social media outlets to threaten figures such as U.S. Rep Ilhan Omar and Microsoft founder Bill Gates, and cheered on the New Zealand mass shooting by White supremacist Brandon Tarrant at a mosque. He gained a following from his online harassment of others on websites where users generally socialize with others. The FBI had been monitoring Miller for over a year before he was arrested.
A Telegram page that Miller archived his online exploits is currently being maintained by a supporter.
