Y’know, we have been calling Michelle Malkin the Worlds Darkest White Supremacist for almost twenty years, but we were being facectious. Then she goes and runs with it, so we ain’t sorry!
Once a prominent figure in conservative media, Michelle Malkin became somewhat of a pariah when she began to openly embrace the so-called Groypers and became a figurehead for the neo-fascists. Now she is about to become possibly the first person of color to speak at the 2021 American Renaissance (AmRen) conference, an annual outing that takes place every year at the Montgomery Bell State Park Inn just outside Burns, TN.
American Renaissance is a website that started off as a publication in the nineties created by Jared Taylor to promote the superiority of white people and the separation of the races. The conferences, which at one time were seen on C-Span, have been held at the park since 2012 after outrage prompted venues in Washington, DC and Charlotte, North Carolina to close their doors to the event. Each year those opposed to the conference have come out to protest and call for its removal from the park, but state officials have allowed it and other white nationalist conferences to be hosted there and other parks in the state.
Malkin was originally listed as one of the speakers when this years’ conference was announced but was removed from the bill briefly. She announced from her Twitter account last week that she is indeed joining the otherwise white and male speaker roster that includes Vincent James Foxx, another associate of the Groypers that was part of the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, and Ruuben Kalep and Dries Van Langenhove, two European politicians with ties to neo-nazi and fascist groups in their respective countries.
Even while she was within mainstream circles, Malkin would routinely contribute to White nationalist websites such as VDARE, despite being a dark-skinned Filipino woman married to a Jewish husband and having two biracial children with him. Ironically, many of her diatribes revolve around her disdain for diversity. It wasn’t until 2019, after Malkin openly praised Nick Fuentes and his “Groypers” that the mainstream right began to cut their ties due to Fuentes’ reputed antisemitism and Holocaust denial. Malkin has participated in several events with the group since, and they expect to be in attendance at the AmRen conference.
The American Renaissance conference will take place Nov. 12-14.
