We have less than a year to cause the next American Renaissance Conference a little grief, but in the meantime, we can do that with the podcast hosted by its publisher Jared Taylor. Y’all gonna love this!
Vermont Fascist Watch
When it comes to broadcasting hate and racism, Samuel Jared Taylor has few peers. He has been at the racism game for decades, and despite his deplorable and disgusting history, the founder and publisher of the White Supremacist website American Renaissance (AmRen) still has platforms on a number of podcast hosts. YouTube has removed AmRen’s podcasts and Taylor’s main channels, but a lot of his content still remains on the platform on other channels.
Here are a few places that still host American Renaissance. Some hosts however have policies against racist content, but there are providers that will host anything.
Podbean ([email protected], [email protected]) is a fairly popular podcast hosting and syndication site and are still hosting Taylor’s podcast. Their Terms of Service forbid racist content, noting in particular that users of their platform will not “submit any User Content that may be deemed as pornography, defamatory, libelous, obscene, harassing, threatening, incendiary, abusive, racist, offensive, deceptive or fraudulent, encouraging criminal or harmful conduct, or which otherwise violates the rights of the Company or any third party (including any intellectual property rights, privacy rights, contractual or fiduciary rights).”
IHeart Radio, who also has rules against hateful content in their Terms of Service, is still syndicating AmRen from a content host that is currently a broken link.
Player.fm ([email protected]) seems to be one of the worst actors. While their terms of service forbid discriminatory or hateful content, they host Taylor’s show and even have a directory of hateful alt-right podcasts. Player.fm appears to be a project of Maple Media which is listed as an event software producer.
If anyone has the ability to organize powerful pressure campaigns in the city of Pittsburgh it appears that libsyn.com has no terms forbidding racist content. Much of AmRen’s racist podcast content is enabled by AmRen. When it is clear that much violence emanates from racist and reactionary content it is not responsible for corporations to blindly or willfully enable such content.
Many sites seem to make money by syndicating podcasts from other directories with little filtering. Apparently they make branded apps to spread advertising or to support other projects. Most of these seem pretty threadbare but Himalaya ([email protected]) is one site where we might be able to make a difference. They seem to be an educational site. Their spreading race hate might be a problem for their mission.
This is a list of other directories helping to spread Jared’s vile race theories. If you have some free time you might want to send a few complaints here and there.
Sites with terms that seem to say nothing about hate or racism.
Ubook – Another app website syndicating stuff.
Podomatic – At the time of this posting, just one episode from six years ago and five followers.
Podtail – Broken syndication of anchor.fm
Radio-UK – Syndicated from libsyn.com maybe can be pressured with UK hate speech laws. Server is hosted at OVH.COM – rogue webhost in France. Somewhat broken – links to anchor.fm that is 404.
MyTuner ([email protected]) – Syndicated from libsyn.com hosted at fastly.com ([email protected]) which seems to have no policies on hate speech.
