The kid Tiny Toese & Co. wasn’t even someone involved in activism. He just thought something was odd about the crew that decided to march through the CHAZ and documented them. Tiny & Co. didn’t like that, but we ar sure not as much as what will come next.
SEATTLE – Associates of a neo-fascist group that has been at the center of violent confrontations in Oregon and Washington State for over two years are seen in a video uploaded to Twitter assaulting someone recording them just after they staged a protest in what has been called the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ), a six block area in downtown Seattle established two weeks ago in the wake of the George Floyd protest with the goal of creating a neighborhood without police. Proud Boy associate Tusitala “Tiny” Toese, who is currently on probation for an assault in the Portland area, was part of the group.
The posted video shows Toese, along with fellow Proud Boys Zachary Thomas Staggs, Cole Robert Scott, and two others wearing Proud Boy colors assaulting a person and leaving in a minivan with the license plates removed as another person came on the scene. During the fight, the Proud Boys intentionally smashed the person’s phone as he tried to retrieve it from them. One of the masked Proud Boys was carrying a firearm as reportedly was Staggs. Scott, who was a major part of the assault, is seen in the video with a retractable baton.
Fight broke out between people wearing Proud Boys gear and an unknown individual.

This was just a few blocks from border of The CHAZ so police and medical professionals are now on the scene. pic.twitter.com/04IoPOpf38
In a YouTube video, the person assaulted said he was recording the fact that the Proud Boys were there in two unmarked videos, and they took issue with his recording leading to the fight. He also noted that he filed a police complaint and that Staggs brandished his firearm.
The group was recorded marching through the CHAZ area at approximately 6:30 PM PDT. Hours before, Toese, Staggs – wearing a Hawaiian shirt that has become synonymous with those promoting the “Boogaloo”, or second Civil War in the United States – Scott and his girlfriend Turning Point USA’s Katie Daviscourt were recorded approaching the area as videographer Rod Webber warned those there who they were and their intentions. They did not wear anything indicating they were affiliated with the Proud Boys when they first arrived, but when they marched hours later, they had more people, approximately ten of them either wearing Proud Boys colors or known to be affiliated. They were joined by Black women who attempted to preach to the crowd about Christianity and might not have been aware of who the Proud Boys were. As they marched they were shouted down by antifascists who made it clear the danger they posed.

Webber’s video of the Proud Boys marching through the CHAZ was posted on Facebook, but the social network platform Facebook banned him for 24 hours and deleted the video which can be seen on YouTube.
In several videos he posted to his Facebook page, Toese spoke of plans to fight antifa due to the protests in particular those calling for the defunding the police, a call that comes from communities affected by police violence to shift funds that have gone to law enforcement to community building initiatives such as education and healthcare. “If y’all don’t stop, the time to play Patriot vs. Antifa is around the corner,” he says. “Y’all keep it up, but y’all won’t like it…when we hit the streets to solve it instead of law enforcement…because if we can’t talk sense to you, we’re gonna smack it in.”
On June 7, Tusitala “Tiny” Toese posted this video on his Facebook page where he issues a threat to those he calls antifa. Yesterday he and other Proud Boys attacked someone who wasn’t an activist, but just a guy recording them at the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone in Seattle, WA. pic.twitter.com/IGAdHDbmnG

Toese is currently serving two years probation for punching an antifascist protester in Portland during a 2018 incident, the conditions of which include not participating in any protests in Multnomah County for those two years. One of his videos reportedly shows him going to a protest in Portland while making threats of violence.

Tiny Toese is back in Portland and on the streets, protesting the Nike story with guys in “Security” shirts last night.
A look at his Facebook page confirms that he was livestreaming, too.
He’s been legally barred from protests as part of his probation. pic.twitter.com/q6icu2GLsq
Patriot Prayer founder Joey Gibson, an associate of Toese, was also in Seattle to observe the CHAZ area, but he was not present when the assault occurred. He accused the person recording the Proud Boys of attacking first, saying to blogger Gregg Housh, “Black people, colored people, White people in the ghetto have to fight all the time, and you cry all the time like a privileged White boy. Stop it!” before eventually hanging up.
Curiously, conservative propagandist Andy Ngo, who is a regular associate of the Proud Boys and Patriot Prayer, was also there yesterday to infiltrate the CHAZ until he was recognized and hounded out of the area.
😂😂🤣🤣 Stay out of the CHAZ then, coward. 🏴 pic.twitter.com/pVdVhVNHxe
