Bond Denied to Augustus Invictus in South Carolina

He had best get used to the Palmetto State. He’s going to be there for a while.

ROCK HILL, SC – Neo-Fascist attorney Augustus Invictus has been denied bond on all the counts he faces stemming from kidnapping his wife and children and forcing them with him to Florida. He will remain incarcerated until his trial.

Invictus, who changed his name from Austin Gillespie, appeared in court for a bond hearing after being extradited from Brevard County Florida to Rock Hill and served with his arrest warrants for Kidnapping, Domestic Violence of a High and Aggravated Nature, and Possession of a Weapon During a Crime of Violence. He appeared in court wearing a red and white striped jumpsuit.

On Dec. 12 Invictus allegedly held his wife at gunpoint and forced her and their children to go back with him to Florida. The wife was able to escape at some point with her children back to Rock Hill, and police arrested  Invictus outside a gym at the Melbourne Square Mall in Melbourne, FL on Dec. 30.

Invictus, who has called for a violent overthrow of the U.S. government, has a history of violent acts [https://www.splcenter.org/hatewatch/2017/12/07/augustus-invictus-withdraws-senate-race-while-strengthening-ties-racist-alt-right-crowd] including assaulting those he has had relationships with, but this is the first time he has ever been charged for such acts. He was also a planned speaker at the tragic “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville where counterprotester Heather Heyer was killed by white supremacist James Fields as he drove his car into a crowd of people.

A former candidate for the U.S. Senate for both the Republican and Libertarian parties, at the time of his arrest he was running for U.S. President.
