New Jersey Revolution Radio
New Jersey Revolution Radio(NJRR) announces the kickoff of Community Cannabis Forums , bringing a discussion driven by activists including Ed “NJ Weedman” Forchion. This 3 stop tour has scheduled shows at the Newark Public Library September 25 The Emmanuel Lutheran Church In New Brunswick on October 19 and Trenton November 2.
“By bringing these open public events to people around the state we hope to generate a conversation that is not shaped by profit-driven corporations. The only conversation Trenton seems interested in is one about corporate profits, not social justice,” said Brian Powers, Senior Organizer at New Jersey Revolution Radio.
A Different Kind Of Discussion
NJRR previously held shows in Pleasantville and Edison. Community Cannabis Forums is a program about changing drug laws and the issues that surround them. This 3 stop Mini State Tour is intended to drive a more community-minded discussion. Despite having been incarcerated by the system for 447 days on charges he was eventually found innocent of “NJ Weedman” remains unafraid. He has staged protests selling cannabis plants openly in front of the Governor’s office and other authorities, daring police to act.
“I don’t think the state can get 12 people to convict me, I want the state to arrest me and attempt to prosecute me for selling weed while not rich and white. It’s clear that our politicians are creating laws that will allow rich white guys to grow & sell while prosecuting others for the same thing.” Said Ed “NJ Weedman”, a freed political prisoner, who has been fighting for social justice and educating the public on drug laws for over 20 years. “Let’s see what a jury says.”
The state’s #1 Cannabis activist is using the hashtags #njcantget12 and #sellweedlikeimwhite to promote his as a civil disobedience protest.
Community Cannabis Forums
Community Cannabis Forums Forums is a program developed to focus on intersectional issues that drug laws touch on including home grow, mass incarceration, and ecology. New Jersey Revolution Radio’s mission includes promoting Social Justice and struggling against racism. Current drug laws maintain a white supremacist system. The government of New Jersey has allowed corporations to dominate the conversation and squeezed out our communities.
