Bonehead Associate Wanted in New Hampshire; Might Be in Pennsylvania

Did Pennsylvania and New Hampshire start up some Nazi exchange program and didn’t tell anyone? One week after two boneheads from Pennsylvania was picked up in New Hampshire while fleeing a murder charge, a bonehead from New Hampshire is on the run from cops after stabbing someone – and they believe he is Pennsylvania! Jason Schalebaum was last seen in a red Jeep Liberty with PA tags (HFH875, if you’re curious) and it is believed he could be staying with people connected Schalebaum is good for running from warrants. Last year he got picked up on a New Hampshire warrant in Somerville, Massachusetts, and he was noted as having a South Carolina address at that time.In other words, he doesn’t have to be in Pennsylvania! The boneheads we already have are boneheady enough! We don’t need any exports!

NEW DURHAM — The Wolfeboro man sought in connection with the stabbing of a teenager near King’s Highway on June 12 is still at large, authorities said Tuesday.

Jason Schalebaum, 26, last known address 17 Stonehenge Road in Wolfeboro, is wanted on three counts of first-degree assault, three counts of second-degree assault, two counts of simple assault and one count of reckless conduct, placing another in danger.

Police allege he stabbed 18-year-old Tyler Thurston in retaliation for a fight that occurred earlier in the day on June 12.

The U.S. Marshals Service is aiding police in their search for Schalebaum, who they believe has left the state. Chief Shawn Bernier said police have their suspicions about where he might be, but could not comment further.

Schalebaum is believed to have ties with white supremacists. Police previously said he could be staying with people connected to that group. The stabbing was the result of an unspecified “score” that another man, Alfred Ricci-Perry, wanted to settle with Thurston, according to police. Authorities say that after Ricci-Perry goaded Thurston into a fight via several phone calls, the men got in an altercation on King’s Highway. A court affidavit said Thurston won the fight and Ricci-Perry called for reinforcements.

Soon after on Pine Point Road, two cars boxed in Thurston’s vehicle. He was stabbed three times in the back and side, suffering about 5-inch deep wounds, court documents said.

Ricci-Perry, 19, of 40 Fieldstone Road in Wolfeboro was originally charged with first-degree assault under the liability for the conduct of another statute. Prosecutors said they dropped the charge after receiving information about Schalebaum’s alleged involvement. Bernier has said Ricci-Perry is still part of the ongoing investigation.

Schalebaum is 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighs 215 pounds, has blue eyes, brown hair and multiple tattoos. He was last seen driving a red Jeep Liberty with Pennsylvania plates HFH8750. He is believed to be armed and dangerous, police said.

Anyone with information on Schalebaum’s whereabouts is encouraged to call New Durham police at 859-2752.
